Why does the UK government not stand up for Christian refugee Samar?

If you haven’t read this in your newspaper or seen it on TV, its because the majority of the press and media have, in my opinion,  been gagged.

An Iranian lady called Samar is being deported back to Iran. That is the country of her birth, in which she freely decided to become a believing Christian. Since being in the UK she has been sentenced to death by a court in Iran. Why? For terrorism? No. For sexual immorality? No. For changing her religion? Yes.

Only local newspapers and one radio station have supported her. The news is being buried and kept away from national newscasts and is relegated to Southern Counties news reporting on TV.

Her terrible plight is not known about throughout the western world, whilst the news is full of incredible trivia of every kind. There is virtually a news blackout on Samar. The local member of parliament where she has been staying whilst studying and good church friends are trying desperately to stop her being sent back. The Government Minister in charge, Jacqui Smith has said she will be repatriated without delay. I believe a fundamentalist bomber would have been treated with more respect and compassion. Why is this gentle Christian being thrown to the wolves?

What can you do?  look at this website

Send an email to the email  address shown. Lobby your MP quickly. Tell other people about it. Pray. Support Samar.

She will be sent back within a day. What fate awaits her when she sets foot back in Iran. Will she like others before be immediately place into prison, to await the death sentence? Does the UK Government care about Christians at all?

If we the public let this go, it sets an awful trend, in which, whilst many other faiths are fawned upon by the British Government, Christianity is systematically being trampled upon.

Please take action via every legal and peacable means that you know.

Lessons about God from Space Travel 1.

Romans 1 vs. 20   This scripture prove very useful on a recent chat on Skype I was having with a Brazilian man who is a scientist. Still not quite a believer, he said that he could see God in the things of nature. For example  in trees, flowers, hills and oceans.  Here’s that scripture that we read together.…..for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead This tells us that God’s invisible attributes are able to be seen in  the natural order of things. For unbelievers it is often a way of gradually comprehending God, through their senses. A journalist speaking about the planets in our solar system noted that of all the planets, two would be the beauty contest winners: Saturn and the Earth.

Saturn with its rings and its moons is spectacular and surreal.

Whereas Earth, the planet we live on, seen from space, appears as a huge green and vibrant jewel, towards which the astronaut observer’s eye is constantly drawn.  Earth’s blue-green orb is the most unique. Why?  Planets with fabulous rings are incredible. But no part of them or their moons is inhabitable or capable of sustaining life. Only the Earth is most wonderful in every way.

It would be impossible for our planet to be seen, in its breathtaking beauty and technical perfection, without the thought that somebody must have made this, it didn’t happen by accident. Its temperature, gravity, atmosphere all point to one who created it.

But then what is believing and not believing in God all about?  Is truth a commodity which is available every day literally ‘the things being made understood’ in the text we read together? Are we given the choice to believe what is so obvious for some and which others choose to ignore? That there is a creator called God who made it all. The one that the Bible reveals to us.

Is there a mental and spiritual data-base within each of us which is daily capable being incremented by all that our senses teach us?  Why do some allow that knowledge to become corrupted into cynical unbelief, whilst others allow it to reveal the amazing truth? Is it that there is for every piece of important information, the chance of saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’.  Do some SAVE truth, whilst others DELETE it?

Can WE say ‘yes’ today to that wonderful revelation of God through the universe? Is today the day to look up to the heavens and say:

‘I see God’s workmanship and presence in the stars and planets and all around me? Lord you made this. Make me a believer in you.’

Can we see something of God in all people?

I had a great discussion on Skype, with a man who said he saw God in me. I asked if this was intuition, optimism or kindness. He went on to say, without answering my queries, we should see God in everyone. But can we see something of God in all people?

Sure, something of God should be seen in people.

There is after all a Common Grace in all people.
But there is much more to receive than just Common Grace.

You might think that Saving Grace is a good one to go for and you’d be right. I’d say it was the best thing any human being could have.

Common Grace is the one that is free for all.  Everybody gets some at birth. It’s a birthright. Because we are human.  Its like you get a prize for being born. This is why even the worst of us can be kind at times if it’s only to our grannies.

I think of my website. That’s the basic type that you get for free with the adverts, you didn’t order, popping up. But still its nice to have something for free. You get it for the asking. No commitment on your or my part at all.

Now an upgrade costs something. But it gives us a great deal more than the entry level version

But Saving Grace,  my real topic, is the excellent upgrade to Common Grace. Infinitely better.  If there is something better for me to have, then I want it!  Don’t you?  My present website has disadvantages. Please look and see what I mean. I must put up with the free adverts. I don’t necessarily agree with all that is said there, above my own contributions; I cannot have all the pages and services I want.

But the upgrade means that I can have what is the best for me.

Speaking spiritually now, Common Grace shows God’s kindness to all of us. His love for every human creature in fact. Mercy towards us whilst we live on the earth. It has its limitation. It has an expiry date.  It has no effect when we desire to be part of God’s kingdom on this earth, to become a Christian in fact., so as to have a true relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Finally, it stops just when you need Grace, to enter eternity when you die. for that salavation is required - beforehand!

That is the day that we die. When Common Grace, like the sand in an hourglass, has run out. No-commitment-Grace has gone past its use-by date. Its a day for judgement of how we have lived our lives; how we have responded to god’s call during our lives. Failing to qualify on that day means losing everything in eternity.

But Saving Grace, the upgrade, lasts for all eternity. Overturns our sins, removes the punishment, places us into a right relationship with God and takes us into eternity.

It guarantees that the kindness of God will be with us for always and always. Why have I written Saving Grace in red, the colour of blood? Perhaps it’s a reminder that Jesus Christ shed his own blood on the cross of Calvary, to bring Saving Grace and make it available to all who believe in him.

That great advantage can only be obtained when we put our trust in the sacrifice of God’s own son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for our entire Salvation and commit ourselves to him.

Have you, will you commit yourself to Jesus? What about today?

Is it easy to be a Christian-going-to-heaven.

Are all the people who call themselves Christians going to go to heaven?

Does believing in Jesus on one memorable occasion get you your ticket to be with Jesus forever?

Look out!

The making of Christians cost God a huge amount of pain and sorrow.

Is everybody who says ‘I do’ at the marriage altar going on to be ’happily ever after’?

Is every body who responds to an altar call  a Christian?

The answer is NO. Just as marriages are supposed to be made in heaven, it implies the right chemistry is present. That which makes saying ‘I do’ a joy and a pleasure. It also makes sticking at it a reality.

If the chemistry needs to be right for a successful marriage, then the spiritual chemistry needs to be right to be saved and converted.

The bad news is that many have not yet become Christians and don’t realise or possibly even care.

The good news is that God isn’t finished with them yet. I mean whilst they are still alive.

Whats the secret then? As Billy Graham said: ‘its not when you believe, that you believe, that you believe, but its when you know, that you know, that you know, that you are God’s child , that you are saved’.

God is doing deep works in all our hearts on a daily basis. He is speaking to us everyday, through preaching, Christian friends, scriptures, songs, circumstances, answered prayers and of course the Holy Spirit tapping on the door of our hearts. his work is gentle and he leaves the choice to obey or not to us. That’s called free will.

It was so hard for God to save us. He had to see His only son Jesus die painfully on a cross so we could be forgiven our Sions and made fit for heaven. He could only do that for us because He loves us too much to let us go to hell. he wants us to be with Jesus in Heaven.

Each day, we can say ‘Yes God’, or we can kick out at God and say ‘No, not today, leave me alone’. I believe that saying ‘Yes’ to God can speed up the process by which our Heart Soul and Mind become transformed, but saying ‘No’ can have a cumulative bad effect.

All we are doing by responding rightly is saying ‘Yes’ to God. Not doing any more than that. No works can do it. if we do the ‘yes’es, God will do the work in us.

What action should you take if you are not sure about being truly saved?

Make sure that you are really His.

You know that it is really hurting you to say NO to the gentle voice of God.

Today if you hear His voice do not make your heart hard.
